Nina Bangs was an unknown author to me until I noticed her book titled: My Wicked Vampire at Wal-Mart Supercenter. I purchased the book, then regretted that I had because I saw "romance" I am not a big romance novel person, but decided to give the book a shot anyway.

Basic plot is that everything you think is fictional is real. Vampires, Goddesses, Fae, Talking cats that are the bodies of celestial beings. The novel is set at a place that is meant to give humans the darkest fantasies. It has an adult undertone, with two graphic scenes. It was not mushy-gushy like I expected so naturally I liked it. The plot ran well, the characters were very well developed, and the tone of the book made it so you could picture the buildings and feel the emotions.

There is a humerous undertone that I personally enjoy. I like a little humor mixed in with horror/fantasy it breaks the monotonous plots and makes you giggle.

I found this noved at Wal-Mart, as I said and it was $5.95. You can also find it and a few other Nina Bangs novels on Amazon.com and Ebay.

I give this book 5/5 stars and honestly recomend people who enjoy fantasy/humor read it.

My neighbor/best friend gave me the idea to write a blog about the books I read; because frankly I read ALOT. I enjoy paranormal novels, paranormal romance novels (not mushy-gushy though.) Thrillers, Horror just about anything that will give a good chill or is just out there. A few of my favorite authors are: Stephen King, Charlaine Harris; Sherrlyn Kenyon; Tom Clancy, as well as a few others.

I really enjoyed the Twilight series though it was a little out of the norm for me; I thought it was well-written and just a nice fantasy that allows the reader to escape from life for a while at least.

Well lets see about me, I am 23, I live in West Virginia. I am currently going to school full-time online through the University of Phoenix. I have been married for almost 4 years, June 2010 will make it 4. It honestly doesn't seem like that long. I am studying to become a social worker, but am currently working on a novel on the side just to give me something to do. Once it gets going a little more there will be updates.
